Connect wallet to RainMakr

Overview

Connecting your blockchain wallet is a key step in accessing and participating in the RainMakr IDO Launchpad. This guide will walk you through the process of connecting your MetaMask, TrustWallet, or WalletConnect wallet to the platform.

Steps to Connect Your Wallet

  1. Access the Connect Wallet Button

    • Location: The "Connect Wallet" button is prominently displayed on the Dashboard when no wallet is connected.

    • Action: Click the "Connect Wallet" button to initiate the wallet connection process.

  2. Choose Your Wallet

    • Options Available:

      • MetaMask (Recommended for both PC and mobile devices)

      • WalletConnect (Allows connecting various wallets through a QR code)

      • BrowserWallet

      • Coinbase Wallet

      • TrustWallet (Best on mobile with TrustWallet browser)

      • Rainbow

      • Bitget Wallet

      • OKX Wallet

      • Argent

      • Coin98 Wallet

      • Phantom

      • Rabby Wallet

      • Uniswap Wallet

      • Zerion

      • imToken

    • Action: Select your preferred wallet from the options provided.

  3. Connect Wallet on Desktop

    • MetaMask:

      • Clicking MetaMask will trigger a popup in your browser, asking for permission to connect.

      • Approve the connection, and your wallet address will be displayed on the platform.

    • WalletConnect:

      • A QR code will appear. Use your mobile wallet to scan the code and confirm the connection.

    • TrustWallet (via WalletConnect):

      • If using TrustWallet on mobile, you’ll need to scan the QR code with TrustWallet.

  4. Connect Wallet on Mobile

    • MetaMask:

      • If using the MetaMask mobile app, select MetaMask and follow the prompts to connect.

    • TrustWallet:

      • On iOS and Android, open the TrustWallet browser and navigate to the RainMakr site. Select TrustWallet from the wallet options, and it will connect automatically.

    • WalletConnect:

      • Similar to desktop, scan the QR code using your mobile wallet app.

  5. Network Selection

    • Display: The network you're currently connected to (e.g., Ethereum, BSC) is shown on the dashboard.

    • Action: If you need to switch networks, click on the network name and select the desired network. If your wallet isn’t on the selected network, you’ll be prompted to switch.

  6. Approval and Authentication

    • Sign the Wallet:

      • After connecting, you'll be asked to sign a message to authenticate. This step is crucial for security.

      • If you sign successfully, you’ll be redirected to the User Dashboard.

      • If you cancel, the process will be terminated, and you'll remain unconnected.

  7. Viewing Wallet Details

    • Wallet Address:

      • Your connected wallet's address will be displayed, showing the first six and last three characters for easy recognition.

    • Balance:

      • Your wallet’s main network coin balance will be displayed (e.g., ETH on Ethereum).

  8. Disconnecting Wallet

    • Action: If you wish to disconnect your wallet, simply click on the wallet address and select "Disconnect."

Important Notes

  • Security: Your private keys are never stored on RainMakr servers. The authentication is handled securely through your wallet.

  • Network Support: Ensure you are on a supported network. Unsupported networks will show a balance of "0."

  • No Traditional Login: RainMakr only supports blockchain wallet-based authentication.

Following these steps will ensure you can securely and efficiently connect your wallet to RainMakr and start participating in IDO activities.
